Organitza: Casal Independentista de Sants "Jaume Compte"
primer, recuperar un element de la gastronomia popular, el calçot. Per
fer-ho bé, cal menjar-lo dret, amb pitet i un porró ben ple per compartir
amb el respectable que s'aplegui. La Calçotada és per passar-la al voltant
d'una taula a l'aire lliure i, si cau alguna taca de romesco, no serà
malaguanyada si hem gaudit d'una bona menja en bona companyia.
La Calçotada Popular de Sants ha incentivat i recuperat la riquesa de la
cultura popular catalana entesa com a forma de vida i d'expressió i no com
a mer folklorisme. Volem agrair a la Colla Gegantera, a la Colla de
Diables, a la Colla Castellera i a la nouvinguda Colla Bastonera els bons
matins que ens han fet passar aquests anys. Les colles de cultura
popular ens traslladen la passió per les tradicions populars i ancestrals
del nostre poble.
Gràcies també a tots els solistes, grups de música i dansaires
tradicionals que han actuat. Veus vives i actuals de l'ampli repertori de
la cançó catalana que, després de menjar, ens han fet més agradable la
tarda dels que recollim i dels que volen més gresca.
Des del Casal Independentista de Sants "Jaume Compte", amb un senzill
acte, la Calçotada, hem volgut que la gent de Sants i de tots els racons
dels Països Catalans que han vingut a visitar-nos coneguin i estimin
aquesta festa com ho fem nosaltres.
Un any més, volem convidar-vos a la Calçotada Popular de Sants, un exemple
de les moltes que casals, ateneus i col·lectius organitzen arreu de la
nació catalana. I és que de calçotades cada cop n'hi ha més, però com les
nostres, fetes amb els ingredients del compromís, la tradició, la germanor
i la millor gresca, cap.
